A Picture of a Door
Sometimes in this crazy modern world, photographers who aren't able to create particularly compelling images use the easy tools of the computer age to amp up the colors and contrast on an otherwise not-all-that-thrilling shot. It's a cheap trick, and you can see the reaction to it in the kind of flat-looking pictures that are of the moment in the art photography world, if you wanted to. We were at a museum this weekend where many of the photos looked almost like snapshots, or were deliberately underexposed. I guess that sets those photos apart from the cheap Photoshop tricks. This picture of a door is one of the cheap Photoshop tricks. Sorry.
